Dear Coatesville Area School District Parents/Guardians (and those whose children take CASD transportation),

We are excited to announce the implementation of our new Bus Status App, aimed at improving communication with families. The Bus Status App is used by school districts both locally and nationwide. It provides real-time updates about bus delays and changes in transportation. In Coatesville, we expect to have the app live on March 1. We will continue to email parents with late bus notifications until April, at which time all notifications will run through the app.

Parents and guardians who have downloaded the app and mark their child’s bus as a “favorite” will receive push notifications when there are delays to their child's bus schedule. 

1.    Please follow the directions on the attached document to download the app. 

2.    Once downloaded, select Coatesville Area School District or your child’s school, and tap the star next to all buses for which you want to get notifications.

3.    Beginning on Monday, March 4, 2024 we will be using the app to notify you of bus delays, along with our regular email notifications. 

4.    If buses are marked green in the app, this means they are running on time.

5.    If a bus you have selected is running late, you will receive a push notification (if you have selected this option.)
